Netflix confirms the release date for Tiger King 2 and premieres the first trailer.

Netflix has confirmed that the highly-anticipated second season of Tiger King will be released on November 17.

The documentary series became a cultural phenomenon when it was released just as the world entered coronavirus lockdown last year, making household names out of participants including Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.

Exotic is currently in prison over his part in a plot to murder Baskin, and in a newly-released trailer, he looks set to feature in the new season through phone calls and video messages.

Baskin has flatly refused to take part in new episodes, but nevertheless the show will continue to follow her story as she takes ownership of Exotic's zoo and faces continued questions over the mysterious disappearance of her former husband Don Lewis.

A message in the trailer says: "We thought we'd seen it all... but we've only scratched the surface. The further you go, the wilder, the deeper, the deadlier it gets."
