Tara Reid 'in talks to play Carole Baskin in Tiger King movie'

American Pie star Tara Reid is reportedly in talks to play Carole Baskin in a movie adaptation of the hit Netflix series Tiger King.

American Pie actress Tara Reid is reportedly in talks to play Carole Baskin in a movie adaptation of the hit Netflix series Tiger King.

The show, which documents the extraordinary life of zookeeper Joe Exotic and his fierce rivalry with big cat sanctuary owner Baskin, has become a worldwide phenomenon since its release in March.

A number of scripted adaptations have subsequently been announced, and Reid's agent Philippe Ashfield has claimed that the actress is on the verge of signing up to one of the projects.

"We are in talks with the producers and she is being considered, that is all I can say at the moment as casting is on hold," Ashfield told The Post.

"Tara loves Tiger King and found the documentary extremely interesting. She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well ... and she has a similar look to [Baskin]."

Exotic is currently serving a 22-year jail term after being found guilty of a plot to murder Baskin.
