Anne Douglas, the wife of the late actor Kirk Douglas, dies at home at the age of 102.

Anne Douglas, the wife of the late Kirk Douglas and stepmother of Michael Douglas, has died at the age of 102.

A statement from her family announced that she passed away peacefully at her Beverly Hills home on Thursday afternoon, a little over a year after Kirk's death at the age of 103.

Michael and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones later paid tribute to the former publicist and producer, who had been married to Kirk for 65 years.

"Anne was more than a stepmother, and never 'wicked,'"it read. "She brought out the best in all of us, especially our father.

"Dad would never have had the career he did without Anne's support and partnership. Catherine and I and the children adored her; she will always be in our hearts."

Anne is survived by her son Peter, stepsons Michael and Joel, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
