The Vivienne and husband David Ludford split up after five-and-a-half years together.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK's inaugural winner The Vivienne has announced their split from husband David Ludford after five-and-a-half years together.

The 30-year-old star - finalist on this year's Dancing On Ice - started dating Ludford, owner of the Drag Helmet Wigs store, in 2017 and two years later they became the first couple to tie the knot at iconic G-A-Y venue Heaven.

Posting on Instagram, The Vivienne wrote: "As many may have noticed, David and I have been apart recently. We have made the decision to part ways after an amazing 5 and a half years.

"We are still very much friends, but sometimes life gets in the way and people grow apart. We wish each the absolute best and will always be part of each others lives.

"We'd ask that you please respect our privacy at this time. Thank you. James and David."

The Vivienne later returned to social media to respond to speculation that their split involved close friend and Dancing On Ice partner Colin Grafton, writing: "And just everybody knows as I'm already seeing tweets. This has nothing do with Colin my Dancing On Ice partner. We are very good friends and never involved romantically, Colin is in a relationship. Thank you."
