Heart launches Christmas radio station earlier than ever before

Heart FM launches its pop-up Christmas radio station with two months to go until the big day.

Heart FM has launched its dedicated festive radio station Heart Xmas today with two months to go until the big day.

The annual pop-up channel station is launching earlier than ever before as the UK braces itself for a unique Christmas that is likely to be affected by some degree of coronavirus restrictions.

Heart Xmas broadcasts Christmas tracks non-stop, 24/7 and joins Heart's other specialised stations Heart Dance, Heart 70s, Heart 80s and Heart 90s.

"With the nation turning to radio for light-hearted escapism and comfort, we are thrilled to bring listeners some festive feel good cheer earlier than ever before this year as we launch Heart Xmas today," said Andy Everett, Heart's managing editor.

"With the clocks going back, we're switching on Christmas as Heart's much-loved festive sister station returns, playing the nation's favourite festive tunes from the past 50 years, non-stop, 24/7. The countdown to the big day is officially on here on Heart Xmas!"

Heart Xmas is available nationwide on DAB and though smart speakers with the command "Play Heart Christmas".
