Kanye West names running mate in bid for Presidency

Kanye West names Michelle Tidball, a "Biblical life coach", as his running mate in his bid to become US President.

Kanye West has named self-styled "Biblical life coach" Michelle Tidball as his running mate in his bizarre bid to become elected US President in November.

The 43-year-old announced his candidacy a month ago but has already missed the deadline to file necessary paperwork in many States - and on Monday he failed to submit the required 5,000 signatures to stand in Kansas.

West did meet the 1,000-signature target in nearby Arkansas, according to TMZ, and in the documents lodged with the state Tidball was named as his running mate.

The 57-year-old is based out of Wyoming, where West owns a ranch, and has previously claimed to have been visited by God at the age of just six months old.

West, who is thought to have suffered a serious episode of bipolar disorder in recent weeks, has also missed the ballot deadline in New York, Maryland and Nebraska.
