Black Panther actress Letitia Wright is taken to hospital with "minor" injuries while filming a stunt for the upcoming sequel.

Letitia Wright was taken to hospital on Wednesday after suffering "minor" injuries during a stunt gone wrong while filming the Black Panther sequel.

The 27-year-old, who plays Shuri, the younger sister of the late Chadwick Boseman's title character, was taking part in an overnight shoot in Boston when the incident occurred.

A Marvel spokesperson confirmed: "Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

"She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon."

The movie - the first since Boseman's untimely death a year ago - is due for release on July 8, 2022.
