Heartstopper star Joe Locke has joined the cast of the upcoming WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

The new show will see Kathryn Hahn reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from the Disney+ Marvel series, although almost no further details are known about the project at this point.

Locke, 19, shot to worldwide fame earlier this year playing young gay schoolboy Charlie in Heartstopper, which has since been renewed for a further two seasons by Netflix.

Variety first reported the news of Locke's casting in an unknown role, and although Marvel refused to comment on the story, Locke later retweeted the news via his official account.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is due to be filmed in 2023 for a tentative release via Disney+ later in the year or early 2024.
