Made In Chelsea's Zara McDermott admits cheating on Sam Thompson in open letter

Zara McDermott admits to cheating on Made In Chelsea co-star Sam Thompson, describing her actions as "a huge mistake".

Made In Chelsea star Zara McDermott has admitted to cheating on Sam Thompson a year ago.

The former Love Island star was dumped by Thompson after it emerged that she had slept with a music industry executive while appearing on the celebrity edition of The X Factor last year.

Thompson, 28, had spoken of his intent to marry McDermott in the months prior to the revelation and in a new social media post she has admitted to making "a huge mistake".

"Hey everyone, I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media," she wrote.

"A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.

"I don't condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.

"I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake.

"I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarassment, the anger and the hurt.

"All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you.

"I love you Sam. Forever. X"

Made In Chelsea continues Monday nights at 9pm on E4.
