I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! producers reportedly approach outgoing BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin.

Louise Minchin has reportedly been approached about appearing on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The ITV reality show returns in November and will once again be staged at Gwrych Castle in Wales rather than the Australian jungle due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

Minchin, 53, steps down as co-host of BBC Breakfast on Wednesday after almost 20 years, and according to The Sun, her next role is already being lined up.

"There's a long tradition of reality TV shows targeting news presenters and I'm A Celebrity is no different," a source told the newspaper.

"Victoria Derbyshire was on the show before and proved very popular with viewers.

"ITV are hoping they can do the same with Louise and have approached her about coming on board.

"They are still very much casting stars to head to Gwrych Castle and they've got a decent offer to put to Louise."

Minchin's co-host Dan Walker has also signed up for a reality stint this autumn and will compete on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
