Amy Walsh has admitted that she has yet to begin talks about returning to Emmerdale.
The 34-year-old temporarily left her role as Tracy Metcalfe in the Dales earlier this year in order to go on maternity leave, shortly afterwards welcoming a baby girl with her EastEnders star partner Toby Alexander-Smith.
Appearing with Alexander-Smith and their daughter on Loose Women on Friday, Walsh - sister of Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh - confirmed that Tracy will be back in the village in the future, but the exact date remains up in the air.
Asked about coming back, she replied: "Oh, yeah. I mean, God knows when. I don't know. I've got to figure it out logistically because obviously... [the baby]."
Walsh went on to reveal that her labour was far from a straightforward affair, explaining: "Yeah, it was tough. It wasn't easy at all. I kind of prepared myself for the worst but it was worse than the worst.
"I had to be induced for various reasons and risk of infection which obviously just catapults you doesn't it. The contractions were going fast but I wasn't dilating.
"It was just really hard to get her out at the end and various other complications. I had an epidural because of the induction but that came out so I had to have another one reinstated mid worst part of your contractions."
On screen, Walsh's character Tracy is now said to be living in Nottingham, having left the village with her young daughter following partner Nate's one-night stand with another woman.
