Jake Wood reveals EastEnders exit timeline

Jake Wood says that he will film his final scenes as Max Branning on EastEnders in three weeks' time.

Jake Wood has revealed that he will film his final scenes for EastEnders in just three weeks' time.

Earlier this year the actor announced that he was quitting the soap after 15 years of playing Max Branning, with execs confirming that his character would not be killed off.

Although the soap has yet to announce when Wood's final scenes will play out, the actor wrote on Twitter: "I am a person that always looks forwards, always asks myself what there is to achieve next.

"With only 3 weeks left of filming Eastenders these thoughts are at the forefront of my mind.

"I'm excited for new challenges, new opportunities and for sharing this next chapter with u guys."

The timeline suggests that Wood's last day of filming will be in mid-December, meaning that his on-screen exit is likely to come around March time.
