Another couple eliminated on Dancing On Ice

Another couple is eliminated from Dancing On Ice, with just five celebrities now remaining at the halfway point of the show.

Amy Tinkler and Joe Johnson have been voted off ITV's Dancing On Ice.

The GB gymnast joined the show several weeks ago as a replacement for Denise van Outen, who withdrew through injury, but lost out by unanimous vote in tonight's skate-off to Lady Leshurr and her partner Brendyn Hatfield.

The elimination caps another turbulent week for the show, which saw Joe-Warren Plant forced to quit after catching coronavirus and Jason Donovan skipping tonight's show due to a back injury.

In total four celebrities have now pulled out of the contest, while another four have been voted out by traditional means, leaving just six couples to compete for the crown.

ITV faces a headache with how to proceed in the coming weeks, however, with half of the series - another five episodes - still remaining.

The broadcaster is not thought to be considering curtailing the show's run, meaning that unless the finale has just two couples, at least one of the upcoming episodes would need to be a non-elimination week.
