Producers of Celebrity Big Brother in Australia are reportedly hoping to sign up Katie Price with a "substantial" appearance fee.

Katie Price will reportedly be made "an offer she can't refuse" to appear on the upcoming revival of Celebrity Big Brother in Australia.

The show - known as Big Brother VIP down under - is making a comeback after a 19-year absence and will be filmed in Sydney over the course of three weeks in August.

According to The Mirror, producers are keen to sign up former glamour model Price, who is known to Aussie viewers in large part because of her marriage to now-ex-husband Peter Andre.

The newspaper says that Price - winner of the UK version in 2015 - would be offered a "substantial fee" in order to appear, in addition to a five-figure donation to a charity of her choice.

"Katie's really popular in Australia. If she goes on The Morning Show she always trends," a source said.

"There's real excitement about her – producers watched her on the British version and instantly knew she'd be a hit with Aussie viewers."

Other rumoured names for Big Brother VIP include former Home and Away star Lincoln Younes, ex-athlete Matt Shirvington and Zac Efron's younger brother Dylan Efron.
