ITV orders "intimate" McFly documentary

ITV commissions one-off documentary McFly: All About Us to air in November.

ITV has commissioned a new one-off documentary charting the story of McFly.

McFly: All About Us will feature "intimate and open interviews" with the four-piece - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter - as they prepare to release their first new album in 10 years.

One of the UK's most successful ever boybands, the group have notched up seven number ones since their formation 17 years ago, with notable hits including 'All About You', 'Obviously' and '5 Colours in Her Hair'.

The programme also promises to include never-before-seen footage of the band and culminates with them throwing a special gig for their families at London's Union Chapel.

"This is the true and open story of our band and our friendship, the challenges we've faced as well as highs we could never have dreamt of and why we're stronger now than ever," the group said.

McFly: All About Us airs on ITV in November.
