Coleen Rooney, Rebekah Vardy 'wanted by ITV'

ITV is said to be lining up Wagatha Christie enemies Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy for different roles on the network.

Former friends Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy are both reportedly being courted by ITV to appear on different shows.

Late last year, Coleen - wife of ex-Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney - publicly accused I'm A Celebrity star Rebekah of leaking information about her to the press, having laid her own honeytrap on Instagram.

The bizarre spat led to Coleen being dubbed 'Wagatha Christie', while Rebekah - other half of Leicester City supremo Jamie Vardy - has angrily refuted the allegations and the pair are now preparing to settle the matter in the courts.

According to The Sun, Rebekah is being eyed up for a regular role on the lunchtime panel programme Loose Women, while Coleen is in the frame to appear on next year's edition of Dancing On Ice.

"Both women have been absent from TV screens for over a year and there is a lot of interest in their comeback," a source told the newspaper.

"Dancing on Ice bookers have made it clear Coleen is number one on their list as they think she'll bring star quality to their line-up and interest from football fans. It's been a long time since she has done anything on TV, but they are hoping she might be ready to return to the limelight.

"Loose Women producers already have a great track record with Becky and really love how opinionated she is, plus, as a mother, she is relatable to viewers. They'd love to sign her as a regular but feel it would be better once the legal matter is out of the way."

The duo had mediation talks last month in an effort to resolve their dispute but the discussions ended with them still at loggerheads, meaning that a legal battle is now likely to follow.
