The Wanted 'in talks over reunion after Tom Parker's diagnosis'

Boyband The Wanted are said to be in talks about reuniting in 2021 following the tragic news of Tom Parker's brain tumour.

The Wanted are said to be in active discussions about getting back together in 2021, seven years after they went on hiatus.

The five-piece - Max George, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran - formed in 2009 and had hits with songs including 'All Time Low', 'Glad You Came', 'Lightning' and 'Walks Like Rihanna'.

On Monday Parker, 32, revealed that he has been diagnosed with a stage-4 brain tumour - a terminal condition that he has vowed to fight.

According to The Sun, George is now leading talks to get the boys back together next year for new gigs and the possibility of new music.

"Max has always been open about wanting to get the group back together to mark one of their anniversaries," a source told the newspaper.

"Those years for the lads were some of the best of their lives and they all love performing.

"For various reasons some of the lads grew apart but now it seems that next year, depending on how everything goes, they could do something to mark just how far the group has come."

George is currently gearing up for a stint on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - a show that McGuiness won in 2015.
