Roger Federer continued his 2014 Wimbledon campaign with a fourth-round match against Tommy Robredo on Tuesday.

Robredo beat the Swiss in the US Open earlier this year, but Federer had no such trouble on grass.

The encounter lasted just one hour and 34 minutes, with the seven-time Wimbledon champion coming through 6-1 6-4 6-4.

Afternoon all! Sports Mole's Wimbledon coverage continues as former world number one Roger Federer tackles the tricky Spaniard Tommy Robredo in the fourth round. The two players have met on 11 occasions, with Federer winning 10 times. However, Robredo did beat the Swiss in the US Open earlier this year. It promises to be a difficult affair for the seven-time Wimbledon champion.

Fourth-seed Federer has not yet dropped a set in this year's Wimbledon, comfortably beating Italian Paolo Lorenzi in the first round, before breezing past Gilles Muller in the second. The Colombian Santiago Giraldo had been expected to provide a serious test in the last round, but Federer once more came through in three sets to book his spot in round four.

Robredo, meanwhile, who is currently ranked at number 22 in the world, overcame Lukas Lacko in four sets in the first round to set up a clash with Adrian Mannarino. The Spaniard found his second-round match more comfortable than the first and advanced in three sets. Robredo faced a real battle against Jerzy Janowicz last time out however, narrowly beating the Pole in five sets.

At the moment, the weather is looking pretty good. Blue sky and very few clouds, which of course means I have just cursed it and rain will soon arrive. Both players are due on court shortly.

Here we go then. Both players have indeed emerged onto Court One. This is the first time Federer and Robredo will have faced each other on grass. The two veterans first met each other way back in 2002.

Federer wins the toss and decides to serve first...

Barcelona-born Robredo has some pretty snazzy sunglasses on for the knock-up. Ever the fashion icon. Can the Spaniard record his second win of the year over Federer? Or will the Swiss advance into the next round?

Here we go then. The umpire calls time and Federer will serve first on this beautiful afternoon in London. Let's hope for a real cracker. My prediction is Federer in four sets.
