Kei Nishikori through to Japan Open final

Japan's Kei Nishikori is through to the final of the Japan Open after coming from a set down to beat Germany's Benjamin Becker in their last-four match.

Kei Nishikori has reached the final of the Japan Open after coming from a set down to beat Benjamin Becker in his semi-final this morning.

The fourth seed struggled with a back problem in the first set, allowing the unseeded German to clinch the opener 6-4.

The Japanese player seemed to shake off the injury in the second, racing to 6-0 to quickly level the match as Becker found it difficult to return Nishikori's forehand.

The US Open finalist was serving for the match in the decider when Becker broke back to send the set to a tie-break, but Nishikori continued to get the better of his opponent with his forehand to wrap up the match.

The win sets up a repeat of the 2012 final, which Nishikori won, after Canada's Milos Raonic beat Gilles Simon in the other semi-final earlier.
