Angelique Kerber won her fifth career title by seeing off Caroline Wozniacki in a dramatic deciding set to win the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Germany.
The former world number one started the match well, breaking serve before wrapping up the opening set 6-3
Wozniacki then struggled to maintain her form in the second and was broken twice before Kerber won the set 6-1 to level the contest.
The Dane looked to regain her stranglehold on the final, forcing the German into a difficult hold on her first service game of the third before eventually breaking the world number 14 to lead 3-1.
Kerber fought back to level the third set at 3-3, to the delight of the mostly-partisan crowd in Stuttgart's Porsche Arena.
Wozniacki was able to break her opponent again in the eighth game of the set, but, with her 24th career title in sight, the former Grand Slam finalist was unable to stave off a battling Kerber, who brought the set back to 5-5.
Kerber, who beat Maria Sharapova on her way to the final, soon broke serve again to winning the deciding set 7-5 and clinch the title.
