The number six seed took the first set 6-3, breaking the 28-year-old three times in the process.
Both players struggled to keep serve in the second set, but Errani prevailed and won 6-2, sealing the match in just under 90 minutes.
Errani will play Maria Sharapova in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
