Milos Raonic sees off Marcel Granollers in Paris

Canada's Milos Raonic extends his stay at the French Open by defeating Marcel Granollers to reach the quarter-finals.

World number nine Milos Raonic secured his place in the quarter-finals of the French Open this afternoon thanks to a 6-3 6-3 6-3 victory over Marcel Granollers.

The opening two sets proved to be straightforward for the Canadian who, having broken his Spanish opponent early on in both, went on to hold his own service games to take a 2-0 lead.

It was a similar story in the third set as Raonic won it and the match by the same margin as the previous two sets.

The 23-year-old will now face either Novak Djokovic or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, with the winner advancing through to the semi-finals.
