Caroline Wozniacki stunned by Garbine Muguruza

World number 39 Garbine Muguruza comes from a set behind to defeat 10th seed Caroline Wozniacki in three sets in the third round of the Australian Open.

Caroline Wozniacki has suffered a surprise exit from the Australian Open after losing in three sets to Spain's Garbine Muguruza.

The Dane took the opening set after three breaks of serves, but the world number 38 stormed back to seal a 4-6 7-5 6-3 win.

There were five breaks of serve during a back-and-forth opening set, but Wozniacki played the big points better to move one away from the last 16.

However, after wasting five break opportunities, Wozniacki was broken by Muguruza late in the set to force the match into a decider.

The Spaniard had the momentum and although Wozniacki fought back from 5-1 to 5-3, Muguruza broke serve for the third time in the set to move through to the fourth round.
