World record holder Liam Tancock has booked a place in the final of the 50m backstroke at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.
The 30-year-old Briton, who won this event in 2009 and 2011, was third in his semi-final, setting the fifth-fastest time overall.
Defending champion Camille Lacourt of France was quickest overall with a time of 24.27, just 0.23 seconds outside Tancock's record.
Tancock won the bronze medal in the 50 backstroke at last year's Commonwealth Games.
