Great Britain's Keri-Anne Payne wins gold in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Test Event for Marathon swimming on the Copacabana Beach.

Great Britain's Keri-Anne Payne has taken gold in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Test Event for Marathon swimming.

Along the Copacabana Beach, the 27-year-old was part of a 15-strong field in the 10km race.

World champion Aurelie Muller of France and Brazil's Ana Mercela Cunha posed threats to Payne, but she was able to finish the event in first place.

In the men's race at the weekend, Jack Burnell finished seventh.
