James Guy, Ryan Lochte fastest for 200m freestyle final at Worlds

Great Britain's James Guy and the USA's Ryan Lochte set the quickest times to reach the 200m freestyle final at the World Championships in Kazan.

Great Britain's James Guy and the USA's Ryan Lochte will fight it out for a medal in tomorrow's 200m freestyle final at the World Championships in Kazan after finishing their respective semi-finals fastest in the field.

Nineteen-year-old Guy, who clocked 1:46.10 in the heats this morning, is on course for a second medal after claiming 400m freestyle silver on Sunday.

In the first 200m free semi-final of the day, Guy stormed to first place by more than half a second to claim a British record time of 1:45.43, while Lochte surprised in the second showdown to ease to the top of the timesheet in 1:45.36.

Britain's Calum Jarvis failed to reach the final after finishing 14th overall in a time of 1:47.64.
