Liam Tancock has reached the final of the men's 100m backstroke at London 2012.

The Team GB hopeful came second in the first semi-final with a finish time of 53.25s, the third-fastest overall.

Matthew Grevers of the USA goes into the final as the fastest qualifier with a finish time of 52.66s, while France's Camille Lacourt was the second-swiftest at 53.03.

Ryosuke Irie of Japan and Feiyi Cheng of China were also among the finalists.

The men's backstroke final takes place at the London Aquatics Centre on tomorrow evening (July 30).
