Mitch Larkin grabs backstroke gold as Australia land triple medal haul

Australia storm to clean sweep in men's 200m backstroke final as Mitch Larkin grabs gold, with Josh Beaver picking up silver and Matson Lawson bronze.

Australia secured gold, silver and bronze in the final of the men's 200m backstroke this evening as Mitch Larkin led Josh Beaver and Matson Lawson home.

Larkin added 200m backstroke gold to the silver he picked up in Friday's 100m backstroke final, which was won by Team England's Chris Walker-Hebborn.

Beaver, meanwhile, improved on his bronze medal from the 100m backstroke final by finishing second to Larkin.

Scotland's Craig McNally and Ryan Bennett finished fifth and sixth respectively, while Team Wales's Xavier Mohammed finished eighth in his first major senior final.
