Dimitri Yachvili outscores Jonny Wilkinson in controversial circumstances to lead Biarritz to their first European title.

Dimitri Yachvili kicked all 21 of his side's points as Biarritz edged past Toulon to win the Amlin Challenge Cup and claim their first ever European title.

The 31-year-old scrum-half converted all seven of his penalty goal attempts but his final score was surrounded by controversy.

After Jonny Wilkinson had landed a superb drop-goal to level the scores at 18-18, Toulon appeared to gain the upper hand in the match but they were denied the opportunity to score the game's first try, as Yachvili committed a sly one-handed tap tackle that led to Sebastien Tillous Borde passing the ball straight into touch.

The officials did not see the yellow card offence and Yachvili sealed the win seven minutes from time.

Wilkinson scored all 18 of Toulon's points.
