Julian Savea scored a hat-trick of tries to help New Zealand book their place in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup with a 43-10 victory over Georgia.

The Georgians were resilient in the first half, with a try from Beka Tsiklauri leaving the side just 12 points adrift at the break.

Despite a strong defensive display from the European side, New Zealand finished the match strongly, scoring two tries in the final 10 minutes.

Good evening! New Zealand's penultimate match of the pool stage of the Rugby World Cup is half an hour away, with Georgia taking on the world champions at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Let's start with a reminder of the lineups for tonight's fixture.

NEW ZEALAND STARTING XV: B Smith, Naholo, C Smith, Williams, Savea, Carter, A Smith, Crockett, Coles, Faumuina, Retallick, Whielock, Kaino, McCaw, Read

GEORGIA STARTING XV: Tsiklauri, Aptsiauri, Kacharava, Mchedlidze, Todua, Malaguradze, Begadze, Ashieshvili, Mamukashvili, Chilachava, Datunashvili, Chkhaidze, Sutiashvili, Gorgodze, Lomidze

The big news for New Zealand is the return of winger Waisake Naholo. He'll be making just his second appearance for the side, 10 weeks after suffering a fracture to his leg on his All Blacks debut. In total, there are 10 changes to Steve Hansen's side, with Sonny Bill Williams among those coming back in. There's no Ma'a Nonu though, as he's been ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Georgia obviously have their on their final pool stage match against Namibia next week, resting several of their regular starters. New Zealander Milton Haig makes 10 changes to his Georgia side, although influential captain Mamuka Gorgodze continues at number eight.

Ahead of this match, Steve Hansen told reporters: "We've selected what we think is the best 23 for this test match and reflects where we currently are with our progress in the Rugby World Cup. We're looking forward to seeing Waisake back on the track, he's been jumping out of his skin at training and I'm sure he can't wait for game day. Although we don't know a lot about Georgia, we know enough. They're big, strong athletes and should contribute to what will be a great occasion at Millennium Stadium."

Meanwhile, Milton Haig said at his press conference: "We have worked very hard to create depth in our squad and there is not a lot of difference in the players we put out. We are looking for a bit of energy to face the All Blacks and it is right to make some changes. My loyalty and responsibility is to my team. It will be a special occasion for me and I am looking forward to it."

With every other side in the pool having lost at least once, victory this evening will be enough for New Zealand to progress to the last eight. Georgia admitted ahead of this side that they wanted two wins from the campaign, which would more than likely be enough for them to finish third. Although that won't see them through to the quarter-finals, finishing third secures their qualification for the next World Cup in Japan in 2019.

Here's a look at the Georgian side familiarising themselves with the Millennium Stadium a little earlier:

After this match, Georgia will have just five days to prepare for their final pool fixture, taking on Namibia at Exeter's Sandy Park. New Zealand will have an extra couple of days to get ready though, taking on Tonga at St James's Park in Newcastle next Friday.

If you've missed anything from the Rugby World Cup so far, you'll be able to catch up on our dedicated page for the tournament.

The two sides make their way out of the tunnel at the Millennium Stadium ready for kickoff. There are plenty of black shirts in the crowd, but a few Georgian flags are dotted around the stadium.

As the teams prepare for the national anthem, it's worth highlighting that this is the first time these two teams have faced each other. As well as the anthems, New Zealand will be performing their infamous Haka before the action gets underway.

It's always interesting to see how New Zealand's opponents react to the Haka. Georgia, who have never faced the war dance before, look delighted as the All Blacks perform ahead of kickoff, which should be just a couple of moments away now.

KICKOFF! Georgia get the action underway.

New Zealand look to test their opponents' defence early on, with Aaron Smith tossing the ball out wide for Julian Savea, but an uncharacteristic error allows Gorgodze to strip it away for Georgia.

TRY! New Zealand 5-0 Georgia (Waisake Naholo)

Just 10 weeks after breaking his leg, and less than two minutes into his Rugby World Cup debut, Waisake Naholo has the opening try of the match for New Zealand as he gets the ball from the captain before shoving Todua away to sprint for the try line from just inside Georgia territory.

CONVERSION! New Zealand 7-0 Georgia (Dan Carter)

Georgia have the first lineout of the match as Dan Carter kicks the ball out from the back. The All Blacks quickly win the ball back, with Sonny Bill Williams and Naholo both looking to get involved.

TRY! New Zealand 7-5 Georgia (Beka Tsiklauri)

Wow! What a stunning move from Georgia. Dan Carter is slow to react to the ball coming loose, allowing Chkaidze to get the turnover for Georgia, before passing to his right for full-back Beka Tsiklauri, who takes is all the way back for the Georgians, pumping his firsts as he runs across the line.

CONVERSION! New Zealand 7-7 Georgia (Lasha Malaguradze)

TRY! New Zealand 12-7 Georgia (Julian Savea)

Well there's been plenty of action in the opening few minutes! No sooner have Georgia got back on level terms than New Zealand move back in front. This time, Kieran Read works it to Julian Savea, setting the winger up for a sprint down the left line before leaping over in the corner. Carter can't add the extras though, missing for the first time in this tournament.

Georgia have already found the gaps while running at New Zealand once this evening, and they try to do the same again, with Tsiklauri on the ball again, before flicking it out wide to Gorgodze, but a chip forward ends up in Ben Smith's hands.

PENALTY! New Zealand 12-10 Georgia (Lasha Malaguradze)

What a kick from Georgia fly-half Lasha Malaguradze! He doesn't always take the kicking duties, with regular full back Giorgi Kvirikashvili rested, but he has no hesitation lining the ball up from just inside New Zealand territory after the All Blacks are penalised for not rolling away. Despite the long range, he hits is superbly, just floating it over the crossbar.

New Zealand really haven't settled into this match yet, despite getting a try on the board just 70 seconds after kickoff, but they force a penalty from a Georgia lineout as Aaron Smith is brought down by a chop tackle, but Williams and Naholo both think the other is going to receive a pass from Carter, resulting in a knock on by Williams. Georgia have the first scrum of the match as a result.

Georgia's scrum has certainly been one of their strongest elements in their first two matches of the tournament. It's not the tidiest scrum this time, but it does enough to get the ball out, but Datunashvili gives away a penalty.

TRY! New Zealand 17-10 Georgia (Julian Savea)

Richie McCaw elects to go for another scrum with the penalty, allowing Carter to pass it across to Aaron Smith following a dummy run from Sonny Bill Williams, setting up Savea for another leap over in the left corner. After a rather scrappy few minutes from New Zealand, that was a clinical move by the defending champions. However, with another kick from the left sideline, Carter is unable to make the conversion again.

Dane Coles's throw from the lineout ends up in the hands of Read, but he throws it away while looking for Williams. New Zealand will have the scrum though, as Lomidze knocked it forward.

TRY! New Zealand 22-10 Georgia (Dane Coles)

Just 22 minutes into this match New Zealand have the bonus point in the bag as Dane Coles goes over in the right corner for the fourth All Blacks try of the night. Richie McCaw weaves around superbly to create the space, and probably could have gone for the line himself, but he spots the run of Coles, who shows some impressive pace for a hooker, passing outside to set him up for the score. Carter's struggles continue though, as he misses his third of four attempts at the posts so far.

There's a worrying sight for New Zealand fans as Naholo takes a hit on his leg, the one he's just returning from fracturing, and he crumples to the ground. It looks like it was just a passing blow though, as he manages to get back to his feet and jog it off.

New Zealand are bearing down on the Georgia try line again, with Kieran Read looking to stretch over in front of the posts, but the ball is knocked out of his hands by Asieshvili.

After a series of scrums, Charlie Faumina has to come to the sideline to take a pair of pliers to the studs in his boots. He quickly returns to the front row to face the formidable Georgia pack, with Aaron Smith ready to put it in, but the two teams are struggling to get set, keeping the referee busy.

Davit Kacharava makes a huge hit on Ben Smith to stop the New Zealand full-back picking up a few metres, and the ball goes out for a Georgia lineout, but it's New Zealand who win it back from the set piece.

Sonny Bill Williams moves the ball around with ease, offloading the ball to Conrad Smith, who tries to kick forward, but there's a bit too much on it for Read to gather.

Aaron Smith takes a penalty quickly, finding Coles, who in turn passes to Naholo, but the winger is tackled short of the try line while looking for his second try of the evening.

Georgia are making some excellent tackles to slow New Zealand's progress, with Malaguradze charging into Ben Smith after Naholo had passed to the full-back, resulting in another handling error from the All Blacks.

Begadze and Malaguradze both make tackles as Georgia try to get the ball back from a lineout, but they do enough to get a scrum. Milton Haig will be really pleased with the way hit side have kept their heads up in this match, fighting so hard to slow the All Blacks, despite conceding to tries in the first eight minutes.

Aaron Smith thinks he's going to make it five as he breaks to the flank from the scrum, but his kick forward for himself ends up going into touch.

Sonny Bill Williams makes another handling error as Aaron Smith fails to see the centre's run, hitting his teammate in the chest with the ball. If Georgia were to get a try back, Steve Hansen might be a little concerned by the number of errors his team are making. He'll more than likely be having words during the break.

HALF TIME: New Zealand 22-10 Georgia

New Zealand score four first-half tries to head into the interval 12 points up. With three missed conversions, a string of handling errors and some resilient defence from Georgia, there's definitely work to be done for the All Blacks.

New Zealand have had 58% of the possession so far, but 73% of the territory, making 314 metres compared to just 39 for Georgia. Georgia have made more tackles though, with 44 to the All Blacks' 31, while forcing six turnovers, two more than the reigning champions.

Here's a delighted Beka Tsiklauri as he sprinted for the only Georgia try of the night so far. If they can get the first try on the board in the second half, they could make a real match of this if New Zealand can't cut out the errors:

The players are starting to make their way back out ready for the start of the second half.

RESTART! Dan Carter gets the action underway.

Aaron Smith and Carter move the ball across the middle looking to set conrad Smith through, before Crockett and Ben Smith get involved, but Georgia are doing well to slow the early pressure from the All Blacks.

Waisaki Naholo tries to start the second half like he did the first, getting in space on the left sideline to receive a pass from Read, but his right foot just glances the line before he can attempt to get the grounding, giving Georgia the lineout.

Begadze appears to have picked up a knock so Vasil Lobzhanidze comes on for Georgia. In the team's first match of the tournament, the 18-year-old became the youngest player ever to feature at the tournament.

Georgia have the scrum, allowing Lomidze to try to get the ball away quickly, but he's a bit too keen, giving New Zealand a penalty. Jerome Kaino and Sonny Bill Williams make their way into Goergia territory, but Crockett drops it, giving it back to their opponents.

Ben Smith charges through the middle as New Zealand quickly get the ball back, attempting to pass it out wide the Dane Coles, but the pass wasn't an accurate one. Meanwhile, Dan Carter is receiving treatment, having seemingly picked up a knock somewhere is the buildup. It looks like the physio is feeling his back.

New Zealand suddenly burst forward, with Julian Savea leading a string of quick passes to Naholo, but he's tackled almost straight away, forcing him into touch before he can dash forward for his second try of the night. Georgia's defending has been excellent in the first 10 minutes of the second half.

TRY! New Zealand 27-10 Georgia (Kieran Read)

New Zealand finally get the first points of the second half on the board, as Brody Retallick pops up behind Kieran Read, giving the number eight a good shove to make sure he gets across the line, debut the efforts of Chkhaidze and Peikrishvili.

CONVERSION! New Zealand 29-10 Georgia (Dan Carter)

As Carter makes amends for his three missed conversions in the first half, New Zealand are back on the attack straight away, with McCaw bursting into Georgia territory with a big run down the left, but the skipper appears to have injured his shoulder in the process. Ben Smith and Jerome Kaino try to keep the move going, but the latter is penalised for coming in from the side.

New Zealand have brought on a few replacement, and two of them try to get the ball down the right, but Malakai Fekitoa's one-handed pass for Victor Vito is too high, giving Georgia another lineout.

Richie McCaw is struggling to put weight on his leg, but he's still landing the tackles for New Zealand, dragging Mchedlidze down as the centre tries to power into New Zealand territory. The All Blacks skipper finally makes way, with Sam Cane coming on in his place as he limps to the sideline.

New Zealand are still dominating possession as the match heads into the final 20 minutes, but Georgia are doing enough to keep the All Blacks in their own half. Aaron Smith tries to boot it forward to create another try-scoring opportunity for the defending champions, but there's no-one there to pick it up.

There's a change at hooker for Georgia, with Simon Maisuradze immediately taking a lineout inside the New Zealand 22 as Georgia start to show a bit more attacking intent. The delivery isn't that clean, but Georgia try to use the maul, but it comes to nothing.

Georgia are definitely looking to finish on the front foot, as Mikautadze looks for a way down the left, before Mchedlidze picks up the loose ball and tries to come again for Georgia. They've weathered a storm of New Zealand possession while only conceding seven points in the second half, and clearly think that they can make the scoreline a bit closer in the late stages of this matches.

Georgia continue to run at New Zealand, but there's a hold, so the All Blacks have a penalty, but a sloppy kick from Dan Carter, who has been far from his best this evening, sees the ball go long.

New Zealand force a lineout, allowing Whitelock to pass the ball out wide to Vito, who tosses the ball inside for Savea, but Aptsiauri manages to force him into touch.

TRY! New Zealand 34-10 Georgia (Julian Savea)

It's a simple try for Julian Savea to complete his hat-trick, with Cane and Kerr-Barlow moving the ball around in the middle superbly, before Fekotoa get the ball over the top for the winger, who has loads of pace to leap over in the corner.

CONVERSION! New Zealand 36-10 Georgia (Dan Carter)

New Zealand are looking to finish with a flourish as Mealamu gets the ball back deep in New Zealand territory, running with purpose across the half-way line before finding Vito, but Cane's pass moments later is intercepted to stop the All Blacks getting another try on the board.

TRY! New Zealand 41-10 Georgia (Malakai Fekitoa)

From the scrum, the ball is worked out wide to Malakai Fekotoa, who weave around a couple of defenders before looking to see where Savea is. Realising that he's in a better position than the winger, Fekitoa curls around towards the posts to ground the seventh try for New Zealand.

CONVERSION! New Zealand 43-10 Georgia (Dan Carter)

The scoreline is a little flattering given some of the errors New Zealand have made this evening. Meanwhile, there's a nice moment in the stadium as Georgia captain Mamuka Gorgodze is announced as the man of the match, as voted for by the public. He's been on the bench for almost 20 minutes now, and seems a little bemused by the decision, but the announcement is met with a huge cheer from the Georgia fans and the neutrals.

New Zealand lose the ball from a lineout, but Kerr-Barlow does enough to stop Georgia creating anything from it before booting it into the crowd.

FULL TIME: New Zealand 43-10 Georgia

It's probably the kind of scoreline that was expected at the start of the night, but New Zealand's 33-point winning margin really doesn't tell the story. Georgia battled hard, defended well, and clearly rattled the All Blacks in the first half, but the defending champions did enough to get the win, which ensures that they book their place in the quarter-finals.

New Zealand will need to work on their set pieces and their ball handling before they get to the knockout stages, but the performances at the wingers certainly caught the eye. Waisake Naholo shows zero signs of rust, despite spending the last 10 weeks recovering from a broken leg, while Julian Savea finished the night with a hat-trick.
