Warrington Wolves continue their fine run of form with a 40-18 win over Hull FC.

Warrington Wolves have continued their fine run of form with a 40-18 win over Hull FC on Sunday.

It was Hull who started the better and they opened up an early lead when Kirk Yeaman and Willie Manu both added tries, while Danny Tickle secured an early goal.

Gareth O'Brien led the Warrington comeback, adding three goals in the opening half, while Ryan Atkins added two tries to put Wolves ahead.

Tickle added another two goals late in the half for Hull, however, as the pair entered the break at 18-18.

The Warrington turnaround was complete early in the second period when O'Brien added another goal, while a Lee Briers try opened up a 24-18 lead.

Warrington made it 28-18 after 62 minutes when Atkins added his third try of the afternoon.

Meanwhile, they put the victory beyond doubt when O'Brien added his fifth goal of the afternoon past the hour mark.

O'Brien and Garreth Carvell added gloss to the score late on as Wolves secured an impressive win.
