Solwhit snatches an impressive win in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham, beating favourites Oscar Whisky and Reve de Sivola.

Solwhit has romped home to take the Ladbrokes World Hurdle on day three of the Cheltenham Festival, beating out favourites Oscar Whisky and Reve de Sivola.

Paul Carberry led Solwhit, who was at 17-2 before the race, up the Cheltenham hill to take the title after pushing away from the rest of the pack.

Bog Warrior took an early lead, leaving Reve De Sivola trailing three lengths behind, while Peddlers Cross drifted to the back after they all got over the fifth from home cleanly.

Bog Warrior was joined by Celestial Halo and Solwhit at the front down the final stretch, but Solwhit stormed ahead to take the victory.

Celestial Halo (40-1) and Smad Place (9-1) came in second and third respectively, while Oscar Whisky and Reve De Sivola came in joint-fourth.
