Video: Swedish police 'speed up escalators to control raucous football fans'

Swedish police appear to speed up escalators to get angry football fans away from a train station.

Swedish police appear to have attempted to prevent crowd trouble from a local football derby in Stockholm with the help of escalators.

As rivals Djurgarden and AIK went head to head on Thursday night, a group of fans hurled abuse at police while at a local train station.

While supporters continued to pile onto the escalators and shout at the authorities as they descended to the lower level, according to, the police decided to speed up matters.
