Sunderland players reportedly raise £40,000 for charity after modelling clothes during a fashion show.

Sunderland's first-team players reportedly helped raise £40,000 for charity by starring in a fashion show.

The likes of Fabio Borini, Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson walked down the catwalk modelling clothes and accessories from intu MetroCentre and Holler Watches.

The event was in aid of the Foundation of Light, which is the club's official charity, and it is believed that in excess of £40,000 has already been raised, according to the Shields Gazette.

Head coach Gus Poyet was in attendance to watch his players take to the catwalk.
