Newcastle United have paid tribute to the 96 Liverpool supporters who died in the Hillsborough disaster by laying a wreath at Anfield.
On Wednesday April 15, to mark the 26th anniversary of the tragedy, the Merseyside club will commemorate those who passed away.
Upon arriving at Anfield for tonight's game, Newcastle ambassador Bobby Moncur placed a wreath below the temporary memorial.
The gesture was made amid ongoing inquests, which were granted by the courts after the original accidental verdict was quashed following the emergence of fresh evidence.
Both sets of players also observed a minute's silence before kickoff and all wore black armbands as a sign of respect.
