Newcastle United are increasingly confident that they will sign Arsenal's Joe Willock on loan for another season, according to a report.

Newcastle United are increasingly confident that they will sign Arsenal's Joe Willock on loan for another season, according to a report.

The 21-year-old had a successful period with the Magpies last season following his temporary arrival in January, scoring eight goals in 14 Premier League appearances.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is willing to let the midfielder leave this summer, and according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are hopeful that he can re-join the club, with a decision set to be made within the next 48 hours.

Willock has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal and is aware that a potential return to Steve Bruce's side would see him receive more regular first-team football.

Newcastle are also looking to recruit more players this summer, including Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara and Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe.

Kamara is valued at around £12m and has been admired by Newcastle for a long time, while a deal to sign Tuanzebe is likely to be a loan move with the option to make the deal permanent a year later.
