Alexandra Raisman has added to her Olympic medals with a gold for the United States in the women's floor exercise final.

Raisman, who claimed bronze in the beams final after winning her protest to push her up from fourth, carried out a faultless routine, which kicked off with a difficult tumble to blast her competitors out of the water.

Raisman's compatriot Jordyn Wieber, who missed out on qualifying for the all-round event earlier in the competition, finished in seventh after stepping out of the boundaries on two occasions.

Romania's Catalina Ponor secured the silver medal after she was pushed out of the bronze position in the beams final, while Russia's Aliya Mustafina clinched the bronze honour following her floor routine.
