Russia have taken the lead in the qualification standings after rotation one of the group all-round gymnastics.
Russia scored 28.375 points to end day one marginally ahead of Italy, who scored 28.100.
Team GB are currently 11th with a score of 24.150.
Rotation 2 will take place on Friday afternoon.
