At The Turn: Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson fight back to level fourball Ryder Cup match

Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson could continue their 100% record at the 40th Ryder Cup after coming from behind to level at the turn against Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson.

Europe's most successful partnership of the 40th Ryder Cup, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson, fought back from two holes behind to level their match against Team USA's Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson this morning.

The Americans were ahead on the first green when both Rose and Stenson slid birdie tries by before Kuchar punished them from closer in.

Rose made birdie at the par-five second to respond immediately before Watson notched his first sub-par score to restore the US advantage at the third.

Holes four and five were halved before a 25-foot birdie from Kuchar at the sixth put America two holes ahead for the first time in the match.

That advantage would last for just a hole, though, as Stenson, who is said to be struggling with a bad back, rattled home a birdie at the seventh.

At the next hole it was Rose's turn to cause an eruption in the crowd, curling home a lengthy left-to-righter up the hill to bring the match back to all square.

With two balls in the fairway at the par-five ninth, it appeared that the USA were in prime position to retake the lead, but Rose then produced a fine fairway-wood from the rough that earned him a birdie and half.
