Time is ticking for clubs home and abroad to conclude their transfer business, with just two weeks left to go until the winter window slams shut.

Good morning everyone! There's only 14 days left to go before the transfer window closes, so what will today bring? Manchester City are the only club out of the Premier League heavyweights to secure a big-money signing following the capture of Wilfried Bony, but that doesn't mean that their rivals are not working hard to match them. We'll keep you updated as developments occur.

Plenty of transfer gossip filtered through overnight, so if you missed it, catch up in our Transfer Talk Update, which contains rumours about Mattia Destro, Kevin Mirallas and Samuel Eto'o.

Let's turn our attention to Liverpool and their attempts to cut short Divock Origi's loan at Lille. If you remember, the Reds signed the striker from the Ligue 1 outfit last summer for a £10m fee, but was immediately loaned back to France. Liverpool initially tried to bring the Belgium international to Anfield this month, but according to reports, manager Brendan Rodgers has decided to keep faith with his current strikeforce, so Origi will stay put at Lille until the end of the season.

It's time for me to hand you over to my colleague Joe Fish, who will provide you with all the latest transfer updates as they happen over the next few hours. Enjoy!

Thanks Danielle. What a result that was for Arsenal yesterday, eh? Francis Coquelin played a major role in their 2-0 win at Manchester City and reports are claiming that the Gunners are ready to offer the French midfielder a new contract after his emergence into a first-team regular. The 23-year-old's current deal expires in the summer, but he has played Arsenal's last seven games.

Swansea have money to spend this month after selling Wilfried Bony to Manchester City. A left-back is believed to be high on Garry Monk's list of priorities and the Swans are believed to have lodged a £4m bid for Norwich's Martin Olsson, which the Canaries are considering accepting.

West Brom are another team expected to be active in January and it seems that they are now making some moves. Reports are claiming that the Baggies have had a £4m bid rejected for Wigan winger Callum McManaman. The Latics could sell, but are holding out for a fee of £6m.

One more line to bring you before I pass you over to Jack Prescott and it is concerning news for Ipswich Town fans. The Premier League big boys are circling above Teddy Bishop, with Liverpool the favourites to sign the £10m-rated teenager. They may have to wait until the summer to get him, though, with Mick McCarthy intent on keeping the midfielder for Ipswich's promotion push.

Hello there! Let's crack on with some news from West Ham United, with owners David Gold and David Sullivan saying that they intend to sign world-class players for the club in the coming years. The Hammers currently sit seventh in the Premier League table following their 3-0 win over Hull City, and the owners hope to push the club on as they look forward to moving to the Olympic Stadium in 2016.

Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos has insisted that Ignacio Camacho will not be leaving the Spanish club this month. The 24-year-old, who joined Malaga from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has been one of La Liga's standout performers this season.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has claimed that the club is 'perfect' for defender Winston Reid. The 26-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is currently in negotiations over a new deal at Upton Park.

Sierra Leone international Medo has left Bolton Wanderers on loan to join Maccabi Haifa until the end of the season. The 27-year-old has made just six appearances in all competitions for the Trotters this season, with his last outing against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup in September.

Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic has signed a new deal with the Serie A club until 2019. The Montenegro international, 24, moved to the Stadio Artemio Franchi in 2012 following a brief spell with Manchester City.

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Manchester United have failed in a £27m move for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentine defender joined Valencia from Porto this summer and has been one of the standout performers in La Liga this season.

That's all from me for this afternoon, but Liam Apicella will now be here for the next three hours to guide you through all of the latest transfer news and gossip. Enjoy!

Thanks Jack and afternoon all. Right, let's begin where Jack left off with some Man United reports. It's being speculated that midfielder Darren Fletcher, who is out of contract in the summer, is a surprise target of La Liga outfit Valencia. More here.

DONE DEAL! Down in the Championship, Birmingham City have completed the loan addition of Watford winger Lloyd Dyer. Full details courtesy of our Championship correspondent Pascal Lemesre here.

And staying in the Championship, Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that Paddy Kenny is heading for the exit door. The experienced goalkeeper is said to be a target of Ipswich Town.

Again in England's second tier, league leaders Bournemouth are in the market for a new player or two, according to manager Eddie Howe. The Cherries have recently been linked with Birmingham City striker Demarai Gray and Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman, but Howe refused to comment on either.

Further down the pyramid in League Two, Northampton Town have confirmed that they have released Emile Sinclair. The striker only signed a two-year deal during the summer, but he is now departing Sixfields. More here.

Meanwhile, back in the Premier League, West Bromwich Albion have reportedly failed with a £5m bid for this man.

In Spain, highly-rated Celta Vigo defender Jonny Castro has signed a new contract, putting an end to speculation regarding a move. Our La Liga correspondent Matt Law has more on that story here.

A couple of lines coming from Ipswich Town now. Striker Noel Hunt has insisted that he is relaxed over his future at Portman Road, despite his contract expiring at the end of the season. One player likely to depart the club now, though, is youngster Jack Marriott. The former Woking loanee is reportedly bound for Colchester United.

Up in Scotland, Jason Denayer has been impressing during his loan stint with Celtic. As a result, the Manchester City defender is a reported target of Ajax. More here.

DONE DEAL! Arsenal fans have been waiting for a new defender and now they've got their wish...sort of! Seventeen-year-old Kristopher da Graca has signed a professional contract with the club. Details here.

Right, just before I head off, I'll leave you with the news that Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana has extended his loan stint with Fulham until the end of the season.

And with that, I'll hand you over to Pascal Lemesre, who will be with you through until 8pm. Over to you, Pascal.

Ta very much, Liam. Evening all, like Mr. Apicella said, you're stuck with me for the next three hours and first I bring you the rumours that Celtic's Kris Commons could be on his way from the Scottish capital this month. His old manager Neil Lennon, now at Bolton Wanderers, is believed to be interested in a move.

DONE DEAL! They've been busy up at the Macron Stadium today! Another departure - a third of the day - at Bolton Wanderers as Hayden White joins Notts County on loan until the end of the season. Full story here.

To Spain, where Villarreal have completed the long-term signing of Uruguayan wonderkid Franco Acosta. The 18-year-old will begin life in Spain by playing in Villarreal's B team.

Palermo defender Ezequiel Munoz is out of contract this summer and Spurs are believed to be interested in signing the 24-year-old Argentinian.

Where will Wilfried Zaha be playing his football next season? The winger is on loan at Crystal Palace from Manchester United and has been speaking about his future.

UPDATE! It's just gone 7pm, so our daily update summarising all of the day's transfer headlines is now live and can be found here.

MLS club Toronto have unveiled the signing of Sebastian Giovinco from Juventus. The Italian will join the Canadian club at the end of the current Serie A season. Full details here.

My time on the blog is over, but I'll be handing over to Alex Meyers for the next few hours this evening. Over to you, Alex...

Thanks Pascal! I'll begin with news that Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has claimed that he is happy playing for the club. He has constantly been linked with a move to a number of Europe's biggest teams, but he is not paying attention to any of the rumours.

Barcelona legend Xavi has been having his say about what players he would like the club to sign. The 34-year-old has picked Arsenal's Santi Cazorla and Manchester City man David Silva as the duo he wants to see turn out at the Camp Nou.

Well, that's all from me this evening. I will now leave you in the hands of my colleague Shane, who will be bringing you the latest breaking news over the next few hours!

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has told Arsenal and Manchester United to forget about signing young striker Paulo Dybala this month. The Argentine youngster has reportedly courted interest from both Premier League giants after emerging as one of Europe's hottest properties this season.

Some more Arsenal-related stuff now and David Moyes expects to know by Wednesday if he will be able to sign THIS Arsenal attacker before the winter transfer window shuts its doors.

From one North London club to the other now and, according to one report, misfiring Spurs flop Roberto Soldado could be on his way out of White Hart Lane as Bayer Leverkusen register an interest. Lord knows what they're smoking over there.

Somebody's pretty bitter! Oussama Assaidi has taken a swipe at Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and his transfer policy. Here's what the current Al-Ahli player has had to say on his former manager. Meow.

Well, that about does her on a day when Sports Mole recorded its 200,000th article! Yep, but there's no time for champagne because our transfer blog will be back in just five hours time so join us then. See ya folks.
