Report: West Ham United launch £12m Enner Valencia bid

West Ham reportedly lodge a £12m bid for Ecuador World Cup star Enner Valencia, the Pachuca striker who has also been linked with Everton, Spurs and Stoke City.

West Ham United are believed to have lodged a £12m bid for Ecuador World Cup star Enner Valencia.

The 25-year-old striker scored three goals during the group stages in Brazil to add to his effort in the 2-2 pre-tournament friendly draw with England in Miami.

His performances over the summer have apparently impressed several Premier League clubs, including Everton, Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur, but West Ham appear to have made the first move.

According to Sky Sports News, the Hammers have offered Valencia's current employers, Mexican outfit Pachuca, whom he only joined in January, an eight-figure sum in an attempt to bring him to Upton Park.

The Irons have already acquired Diego Poyet, Cheikhou Kouyate, Mauro Zarate and Aaron Cresswell in the transfer window, and have reportedly bid £12m for Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Valencia has netted 18 goals in 23 appearances for Pachua since signing from Ecuadorian side Emelec.
