Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sheffield United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to return to winning ways when they travel to the Premier League's basement team Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's men were on course to come up trumps in Wednesday's London derby with Fulham after Harry Kane's opener, but the Cottagers ensured that the spoils were shared as Ivan Cavaleiro headed in a second-half equaliser to end Spurs' three-game winning run across all competitions.

The Lilywhites lost more ground in the title race with that midweek stalemate and currently occupy sixth spot in the Premier League table - two points adrift of the top four and six behind leaders Manchester United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with the Blades.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso sustained a hamstring injury in December's defeat to Leicester City and is yet to make his return to the pitch. Mourinho has conceded that the midfielder is likely to remain out for another few weeks, effectively ruling him out for the rest of the month.

Steven Bergwijn

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: January 17 (vs. Sheffield United)

Steven Bergwijn was nowhere to be seen on Wednesday evening, and Mourinho has since revealed that his absence was due to illness. The winger is now back in training and should be in contention to play this weekend.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
