Team News: Mauricio Pochettino starts Tom Carroll for Watford trip

Mauricio Pochettino rewards Tom Carroll with a place in the Spurs starting lineup for the trip to Watford.

Mauricio Pochettino has rewarded Tom Carroll with a place in the Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup for the trip to Watford.

The 23-year-old, who added the third goal in the Boxing Day win over Norwich City, comes in for Christian Eriksen in one of three changes for the visitors.

Pochettino has also switched both full-backs, with Kyle Walker and Ben Davies making way for Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier, the latter making his first Premier League start.

For Watford, who could move as high as fifth with a win today, Quique Flores brings in Ikechi Anya and Nathan Ake for Allan Nyom and Jose Holebas, while prolific strike duo Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney will continue to lead the line for the Hornets.
