QPR increase their movement in the transfer market with a reported bid for Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar.

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly launched a bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Steven Pienaar.

Rangers' new boss Mark Hughes has wasted no time in the winter window following his appointment earlier this week.

The 48-year-old has already made a formal bid for Chelsea defender Alex, and Hughes has now turned his attention to the Spurs playmaker, according to Sky Sports News.

Reports claimed this morning that the 29-year-old is the subject of interest from the West London side following a disappointing stint at White Hart Lane.

The South African midfielder has failed to cement a regular spot in Harry Redknapp's side since moving from Everton a year ago.
