Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension news vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest injury and suspension news for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture with Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur continue their hectic early-season schedule with a home fixture against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Although Tuesday's EFL Cup tie at Leyton Orient was postponed, Spurs have still played four games since September 13, a run which has also included trips to Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

While Jose Mourinho will be content with having minimal disruption caused through injuries, the Portuguese still has a number of players in the treatment room.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Spurs' latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting in North London.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Tanganga is yet to represent Spurs this season due to a thigh injury, and the youngster's absence will continue this weekend. The defender is not due to be back in contention until next month.

Gareth Bale

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

While Mourinho has hinted that Bale may return from a knee injury earlier than expected, it would come as a surprise if the Wales international made his second Spurs debut before the middle of next month.

Sergio Reguilon

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 27 (vs. Newcastle)

As a result of an ankle injury, Reguilon was not considered for the European tie in midweek. While he is unlikely to start on Sunday, the left-back may be ready to take a place among the substitutes.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no suspension concerns heading into Sunday's fixture.
