Fernando Llorente netted a hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur registered a 6-1 win over Rochdale in Wednesday's FA Cup fifth round replay between the sides at Wembley Stadium.

Goals from Son Heung-min and Stephen Humphrys ensured that the two sides went into the break on level terms after an opening 45 minutes which was influenced by the use of VAR.

However, Llorente netted a 12-minute hat-trick after the restart before Son - for a second time - and Kyle Walker-Peters got on the scoresheet to give Mauricio Pochettino's side a last-eight tie at Swansea City.

Find out how all of the action unfolded in North London courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

6.45pmHello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the FA Cup fifth round replay between Tottenham Hotspur and Rochdale. Spurs would have expected to be in the last eight by now, but the Premier League outfit must contest a replay after the heroics of the League One side 10 days ago. Let's see who Mauricio Pochettino and Keith Hill have selected in their respective starting lineups...

6.47pmTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm; Trippier, Dier, Foyth, Rose; Sissoko, Winks; Lamela, Son, Lucas; Llorente

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES: Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Kane

6.49pmWe will bring you the Rochdale team news a little later but firstly, let's take a look at Spurs as Pochettino - as expected - opts to make plenty of changes from the side which began Sunday's Premier League encounter at Crystal Palace. Eric Dier and Erik Lamela are the only two players to retain their place in the starting lineup.

6.51pmThe most notable inclusion is Lucas Moura, who makes his first start at Wembley Stadium, while Fernando Llorente is given another opportunity to try to add to the two goals that he has scored since joining the club from Swansea City in the summer. Having only been a substitute at the weekend, Son Heung-min also comes into the team.

6.53pmIn midfield, Harry Winks partners Moussa Sissoko. Injury and a failure to back up his early-season form has resulted in Winks dropping out of the starting lineup in recent months, but the youngster gets another opportunity to make an impression this evening. Sissoko is making his 37th appearance of the campaign in all competitions.

6.55pmIn defence, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose and Juan Foyth all come in as expected, with Dier forced to deputise for Toby Alderweireld who has again been sidelined through injury. Michel Vorm gets the nod over Paulo Gazzaniga between the sticks.

6.57pmPochettino has opted to name an extremely strong bench, with Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all in reserve. Kyle Walker-Peters will probably be used at some stage - providing that Spurs are in control of the match - but regardless of the scoreline, do not be surprised to see Eriksen and Alli make cameo appearances in the closing stages.

7.00pmROCHDALE XI Lillis, Rafferty, McNulty, McGahey, Humphrys, Camps, Done, Delaney, Cannon, Kitching, Henderson

ROCHDALE SUBSTITUTES: Nthle, Rathbone, Thompson, Inman, Davies, Moore, Adshead

7.02pmAs for Rochdale, Hill has opted to name the same starting lineup which began the first fixture at Spotland. Who can blame him either?!

7.04pmHowever, in reverting back to his team from 10 days ago, Hill makes two alterations to the side which lost to Wigan Athletic in their last encounter. Joe Rafferty and Stephen Humphrys have come into the team, with Scott Wiseman and Oliver Rathbone missing out.

7.06pmBefore we continue with our build-up, a quick word on the weather. It's obviously been freezing and snowing all day but this game was given the go-ahead as early as this morning. The Wembley pitch was still covered in snow this afternoon but the groundsman and his staff have worked over-time to get the playing surface in the best condition possible.

7.08pmThe first fixture between these sides was a cracker. It appeared that Spurs were going to edge their way through to the quarter-finals until Steven Davies popped up with a dramatic equaliser. Click here to read back on that game.

7.10pmThe winner of tonight's fixture will move on to a game with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Click here to read back on the Welsh side's triumph over Sheffield Wednesday last night.

7.12pmAs you can see, Pochettino had made numerous alterations to his starting lineup for tonight's match. Click here to read what he had to say on the subject earlier this week.

7.14pmSomewhat inevitably, Pochettino has had to field questions on so-called complacency in the first match, but the Argentine has insisted that none of his players had taken their place in the last eight for granted. Click here to read the Argentine's thoughts.

7.16pmIn the build-up to this match, Eric Dier has been speaking about the impact of January signing Lucas Moura, and it's fair to say that the Englishman is excited by what he has already witnessed. Click here to see what he had to say.

7.18pmMoura has only featured for 96 minutes since joining from Paris Saint-Germain. Substitute appearances have been made against both Juventus and Crystal Palace, while the Brazilian attacker featured for 71 minutes up in Rochdale.

7.20pmSpurs head into this game with two intimidating records. The North Londoners have not suffered defeat in any of their last 15 matches in all competitions, while it has been 13 fixtures since they last lost at Wembley.

7.22pmPochettino is also taking charge of his 20th match against a team below Premier League level. He is yet to lose a match...

7.24pmSpurs have made progressing through FA Cup replays somewhat of a speciality. Eight victories have been recorded in a row since losing in the 2007 quarter-finals to Chelsea.

7.26pmFor the majority of the campaign, Son has been a regular in Pochettino's first XI but the South Korean international has struggled for form during 2018. Son has not scored in his last nine matches in all competitions, while the only assist since January 21 came away at Newport County in the third round of this competition.

7.28pmLet's turn our attention to Rochdale. It certainly isn't the weather for a day out in London but earlier this week, Hill was quick to say that his players are focused on trying to progress through to the quarter-finals rather than attempting to enjoy their experience at Wembley. Click here to read Hill's thoughts.

7.30pmRochdale are making their first visit to Wembley in 10 years. Hill was in his first spell in charge of the club when Rochdale managed to register a 3-2 victory over Stockport County in the League Two playoff final in 2008.

7.32pmTo get another chance at Wembley, Rochdale had to take a top-flight side to a replay for just the second time in their history. The previous occasion came back in 1976 against Norwich City.

7.34pmRochdale may be the rank outsiders for this competition, but they have the second top goalscorer in their squad. Henderson has six goals to his name, with only Will Grigg scoring more.

7.36pmThat said, Hill's side are desperately short of form. Just three wins have been recorded in their last 16 outings, while Rochdale also sit 11 points adrift of safety in League One, albeit with several games in hand.

7.38pmPREDICTION! Pochettino has made plenty of changes to his side but we do not expect that to hinder Spurs' chances of reaching the last eight. The conditions may give Rochdale a glimmer of a chance but we think Spurs will do enough to run out 3-0 winners.

7.40pmHEAD TO HEAD! The initial fixture was the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides, which is staggering given that the clubs had previously had 110 years to cross paths!

7.42pmIt's time for the two teams to start making their way out in the snow at Wembley Stadium. The pitch is clear, however. Let's hope it stays that way!

7.44pmA reminder of the two teams...

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm; Trippier, Dier, Foyth, Rose; Sissoko, Winks; Lamela, Son, Lucas; Llorente

ROCHDALE XI: Lillis, Rafferty, McNulty, McGahey, Humphrys, Camps, Done, Delaney, Cannon, Kitching, Henderson

1 minKICKOFF! Rochdale get us underway.

2 minRochdale are straight onto the attack and almost force a mistake out of Foyth within 15 seconds. A sign of intent. Spurs are yet to get out of their own half.

3 minJust like that, Son turns on the afterburners in the centre of the pitch and manages to win a corner. Lamela curls the ball into the box but Rochdale clear on the penalty spot.

5 minWhen Spurs get through the midfield, there is so much space for their attacking midfielders. They almost have too much time to pick a pass. Rochdale are doing well with their pressing, but this is what happens when it doesn't pay off.

5 minCHANCE! The first chance of the game goes to Llorente, who directs a header over the crossbar from 12 yards after meeting Lamela's corner.

6 minSpurs have the ball in the net through Lamela and there appears nothing wrong with the goal after the midfielder taps home from close range. However, after the goal is referred to VAR, Llorente is deemed to have fouled a defender. Replays suggest that there is minimal contact. It certainly isn't "clear and obvious", which it needed to be.

9 minWembley is stunned by that goal being disallowed. It was a soft foul, but anyway, we carry on. Llorente has just had a header on goal deflected wide of the post, but nothing came from the resulting corner.

11 minThe rhythm of the game has remained the same with Spurs making all of the running. Rochdale have started to retreat into their own half.

13 minRochdale are trying to keep two men in attack where they can but they are naturally having to drop deep to help out the midfield.

15 minCHANCE! Wow. Now Rochdale nearly take the lead! Done controls a diagonal pass on the left-hand side of the pitch before volleying marginally wide of the far post.

17 minSpurs are beginning to appreciate that they are in a game this evening. The home side look better with the ball, but Rochdale are winning more of the 50-50 exchanges.

19 minAs the snow continues to fall at Wembley, Spurs are trying their best to up the tempo. A cross from Winks is aimed for Llorente, but the ball is just too far ahead of the Spaniard.

21 minMoura hasn't had much involvement in this game but the Brazilian feels that he should have had a penalty here. McGahey appears to lean into the forward, but it would have been a harsh spot kick.

23 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Rochdale (Son Heung-min)

23 minThere's definitely nothing wrong with this goal. Spurs break clear through Trippier who tees up Lamela in the final third. The midfielder plays the ball left to Son, who cuts inside onto his right foot before finding the bottom corner from 12 yards. That ends his nine-game goalless streak.

25 minTrippier attempts to latch onto the ball down the right flank and deservedly wins a free kick. However, did the foul take place in the penalty area...?

26 minPENALTY TO TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR! After going to VAR, it's now a penalty, even though the foul started outside of the box.

28 minThis game is an absolute shambles. Son converts his penalty but has been booked for halting his run. At least half-a-dozen players were encroaching as well.

30 minAnd Son doesn't get to retake the penalty. Incase you hadn't realised...

Stay patient with me. This has been a bizarre opening half-an-hour!

31 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Rochdale (Stephen Humphrys)

31 minUnbelievable! Now Rochdale are level through Humphrys, who latches onto Cannon's neat cross before taking a touch and slotting the ball past Vorm from close range. What is going on?!

33 minRochdale have had the better of this game since Spurs had their penalty disallowed. On reflection, it was probably the correct decision but it wasn't the first controversial call of this first half.

35 minCHANCE! With 10 minutes to go until the break, it's probably Spurs who want half time more so than Rochdale. However, Spurs are creating chances out of the blue and Lamela is denied by Lillis after advancing into the penalty area.

37 minOver the past few minutes, Spurs are regaining a bit of control over this match. They could do with sustaining it until half time because Rochdale are buoyant at the moment.

39 minTwice in quick succession, Spurs squander huge chances. Firstly, Son fails to control the ball after running onto Trippier's pass before shortly afterwards, Moura fails to find Lamela from inside the six-yard box.

41 minCHANCE! Trippier is starting to have it all his own way down the right. Another cross is whipped in for Llorente, but the Spaniard's header goes straight at Lillis.

43 minJust to warn you, we are probably going to have about 10 minutes of added-on time. Ok - I exaggerate - but we will have a fair few minutes, at least.

44 minBOOKING! Foyth goes into the book for a late challenge on Humphrys. Correct decision and we don't need VAR. Hurrah.

45 minWOODWORK! Rochdale strike the post! A mistake from Vorm eventually leads to a shot being taken on goal by Cannon and the ball cannons - no pun intended - off the far post and goes clear. There will be five minutes of added-on time. Told you.

45+2 minI don't know about the players but I need half time. As I described it earlier, it's been bizarre! Rochdale are well in this.

45+5 minBOOKING! Spurs are all over the place in the closing stages of this first half. Lamela now goes into the book for a crude tackle on Camps.

45+6 minHALF TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Rochdale

8.37pmThe half-time whistle goes at Wembley Stadium and we all get 15 minutes to digest what we have just witnessed, all in the North London snow. That said, the most important thing is that we are at 1-1, and Rochdale have matched Spurs in every department.

8.41pmThere was nothing wrong with either goal. Son coolly slotted into the bottom corner from 12 yards after cutting inside onto his right foot, while Humphrys kept his composure to convert from close range after meeting Cannon's inswinging cross. However, we have not been short of controversy.

8.45pmSpurs had a goal disallowed in the sixth minute after Llorente was adjudged to have pulled the shirt of a defender. It's a very harsh decision. Spurs felt the same over Son's penalty which was chalked off for the South Korean halting his run before finding the bottom corner but to the letter of the law, it is probably the correct decision.

8.49pmThere's also a debate to be had over whether Spurs should have been given a penalty, rather than a free kick, when Trippier was fouled on the corner of the area. The infringement started outside of the box before ending in the penalty area. It was open to interpretation but the spot kick was awarded after VAR became involved.

46 minKICKOFF! Spurs get the second half underway.

47 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Rochdale (Fernando Llorente)

47 minSpurs retake the lead and it's a beautiful goal. Moura slides the ball through to Llorente - who has gotten himself ahead of three Rochdale defenders - and the Spaniard keeps his composure to dink his shot over Lillis and into the net.

49 minShortly after Spurs' goal, Lamela went in late for the second time in quick succession. He's very lucky to still be on the pitch.

51 minThe snow is starting to come down very heavily. We are not in danger of the game being abandoned but it's something which both teams are having to deal with.

53 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Rochdale (Fernando Llorente)

53 minIs this game over? Probably. Moura is found inside the penalty area by Son and the Brazilian picks out Llorente who pokes the ball into the net from close range.

56 minTo Rochdale's credit, they are still pushing for a second goal but they are beginning to be outclassed to a certain extent now.

58 minSUBSTITUTION! Rochdale are being forced into a change with Davies replacing the injured Humphrys.

59 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Rochdale (Fernando Llorente)

59 minBefore this game, Llorente had scored two goals for Spurs. The Spaniard's now scored a hat-trick in 12 minutes! Son dances into the penalty area before floating the ball over to the forward, who heads home from close range.

61 minPochettino is going to start to make changes now but Spurs look rampant. I'm not so sure that any of these players want to come off!

62 minSUBSTITUTION! The first switch sees Winks replaced by Dembele.

64 minSUBSTITUTION! A second Rochdale alteration sees Thompson replace Kitching.

65 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 Rochdale (Son Heung-min)

65 minThis is getting ugly for Rochdale. Llorente finds Son who is advancing into the penalty and his teammate has the simple task of tapping home from close range.

67 minSUBSTITUTION! Son's not going to get his hat-trick because Alli is coming on to replace him.

69 minRochdale almost net a second consolation goal when Thompson's over-hit cross goes over the head of Vorm, but the ball lands on top of the net.

71 minLamela probably feels hard done-by watching all of these goals go in without himself getting onto the scoresheet. The Argentine just tried to jink into the area but was tackled by a defender.

73 minWOODWORK! The midfielder has now won a free kick and he's decided to take it himself. His effort strikes the post before Alli makes a mess of the rebound. You could barely see the ball in flight due to the snow.

75 minJust the 15 minutes to go at Wembley Stadium. I'm assuming Walker-Peters will be the final change for Spurs at some stage.

76 minSUBSTITUTION! Rochdale's final switch sees 16-year-old Adshead introduced in place of Cannon.

78 minThe pace of the game has slowed down now. Understandable really given the scoreline and the conditions. Swansea will be awaiting Spurs in the last eight.

80 minThis has turned into a training exercise for Spurs. The urgency is no longer there in the Rochdale half of the pitch. Walker-Peters is waiting to come on.

82 minSUBSTITUTION! Here comes Walker-Peters with Moura the man to make way. The Brazilian has been excellent.

83 minCHANCE! Rochdale should have a second. A free kick from the right picked out the run of the forward, but his header from 10 yards went straight at Vorm.

85 minI think we have reached a point where everyone just wants to go home. Parts of the pitch have just needed to be cleared, even though we only have five minutes left.

87 minThat said, Rochdale are having their best spell of the second half. Spurs are perfectly content to see out the remaining minutes by trying to keep the ball, but they are overplaying things.

89 minThe referee added five minutes at the end of the first half. I'd be surprised if we have more than two minutes in the second.

90 minWe are going to have three minutes. What is the point?!

90+4 minGOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 Rochdale (Kyle Walker-Peters)

90+4 minI guess that is the point. Alli threads the ball through to Walker-Peters and the full-back stays calm to force the ball into the net from 12 yards for his first goal in a Spurs shirt.

90+5 minFULL TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 Rochdale

9.49pmThe full-time whistle goes at Wembley and Spurs have scored five second-half goals to register a 6-1 win over a valiant Rochdale side, who came close to going into the break with a 2-1 lead. It's been a highly entertaining game but it's Spurs who progress through to face Swansea in the quarter-finals.

9.51pmThat will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this evening and we hope to see you again soon.
