Sheffield United will reportedly launch a bid worth £15m for Brentford forward Ollie Watkins ahead of next season.

Despite signing attacking trio Oli McBurnie, Callum Robinson and Lys Mousset over the summer, the Blades remain on the hunt for another forward.

Watkins, who is 23, attracted the interest of several clubs during the transfer window amid an impressive run of form, with Crystal Palace reportedly launching a £11m bid.

According to The Sun, the Premier League club are preparing a bid worth £15m in order to bring Watkins to Yorkshire.

Watkins recently made headlines by scoring an excellent hat-trick during Brentford's 3-1 victory away to Barnsley.

Reports have indicated that the Championship club would be willing to accept a bid of £15m for their star striker.
