Roma defender Maicon has revealed that he is nearly back to full fitness following a hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old Brazilian international was sidelined with the problem two weeks ago.

"I'm almost 100% recovered from my injury," he told Lancenet. "It was not a serious hamstring injury but the doctor thought it was necessary to rest for about 15 days to recover."

Maicon is expected to be available for Roma when they host Napoli in Serie A on October 18. The Giallorossi are currently at the top of the league table, thanks to seven wins from their first seven matches.
