Real Zaragoza draw 0-0 with Sevilla in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie at La Romareda.

Real Zaragoza and Sevilla have played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie at La Romareda.

The visitors thought that they had taken the lead midway through the first half, but Alvaro Negredo's effort was correctly ruled out for offside.

Negredo did well to create another opportunity for himself in an otherwise dull second period, only for Leo Franco to deny the striker.

Helder Postiga lashed a shot wide of the Sevilla goal with 10 minutes left to play, before Negredo put another strike well over the crossbar.
