Ronald Koeman's future as Barcelona boss could reportedly depend on the club's result against Real Madrid on October 24.

Ronald Koeman's future as Barcelona boss could reportedly depend on the club's result against Real Madrid in the first Clasico of the season on October 24.

There remains widespread speculation surrounding the managerial position at Camp Nou, and Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid has further increased the pressure on the Dutchman.

However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently insisted that the club were not preparing to relieve the 58-year-old of his duties.

According to Marca, Koeman will be in the dugout for the La Liga game against Valencia on October 17, in addition to the Champions League clash with Dynamo Kiev three days later.

Barcelona will then face Real Madrid in El Clasico, and the report claims that the result against Real Madrid could decide whether Koeman keeps his job.

The Dutchman has a record of 37 wins, 12 draws and 14 defeats from his 63 matches in charge of Blaugrana.
